i remember when i first came across the genre, it was one of those third eye opening, world expanding experiences you only get to experience a few times in ur lyfetyme. the genre translates perfectly into my lyfe n my being: experiencing (undiagnosed) AuDHD all my lyfe, growing up in (black/african) church till 14 + my natural gratification towards experimental/outsider music. it has held me in ways i can’t verbalize or contextualize properly. da music always speaks 444 itself anyway. merci beaucoup 222 all the (heavy) contributors n pioneers.
