FATHER SSTEP MY HANDS MIXxX. a love letter 222 footwork (+ it’s extended family)💌 i remember when i first came across the genre, it was one of those third eye opening, world expanding experiences you only get to experience a few times in ur lyfetyme. the genre translates perfectly into my lyfe n my being: experiencing (undiagnosed) AuDHD all my lyfe, growing up in (black/african) church till 14 + my natural gratification towards experimental/outsider music. it has held me in ways i can’t verbalize or contextualize properly. da music always speaks 444 itself anyway. merci beaucoup 222 all the (heavy) contributors n pioneers. highlights of my set 444 POING RADIO at @operator.radio last week! thank u @poing_club 444 having me once again⭐️ 🦋 i wanted dis set 222 b my own interpretation of afro-electronic music, since i noticed there is a lack of diversity/range of sound shown of this in the DJ scene. 🤲🏿🌍 FULL VID ON @lxrxba YT👩🏾‍🎤💋 by @lxrxba

Introducing @lxrxba who will perform alongside @ideasforconversations next Thursday at nachbar. Rooted in Black sonic traditions and influenced by their religious upbringing, april222. approaches music as both an archival and spiritual practice. Their work is a way of honoring ancestry, preserving collective memory and creating space 444 their ppl. Each set is considered an offering: an intuitive and fluid movement through sound, shaped by re-memory, radical movement and a deep connection 222 the healing, resistance and joy embedded within Black (musical) histories. Rather than working within a fixed genre, they follow the emotional and spiritual possibilities of sound, allowing different histories, rhythms and influences to meet. THU 5 NOV ideasforconversations + april222. nachbar, amsterdam tickets are 14 & free for members More info on subbacultcha.nl by @lxrxba
The queues outside Amsterdam’s clubs don’t flinch when it rains. So, in partnership with @instax.nl, we went and photographed the people standing in them: the ones who show up no matter what the sky is doing, the ones who knew they might be soaked in sweat soon anyway, the ones who realise that while it’s purgatory outside, EDM heaven is waiting on the other side of the door. Shot on the Instax SQUARE 2™️, through the (g)rain, wind, and daylight savings darkness: consider this our love letter to everyone who waited in line regardless of what October had planned for them.
