I never imagined this sport would come to mean this much to me. I’m grateful for the coaches and teammates who made my last season one to remember, and I’m forever thankful for the friendships that came with it. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to end it!

This is my version of the Perla Jacket by Claudia Quintanilla @eweknitto , from her new book Threads of Memory - Knitting with meaning. The English version is now available, so I can finally share this pre-knit with you! I knew I wanted a sleeveless version because I had this whole outfit planned in my head. And since I wanted to style it as a vest, I replaced the zipper with a double-knitted button band. Sometimes you just have to make a pattern work for the look you’re after, right? For the yarn, I used Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino held together with Soft Silk Mohair, both in Limestone. And of course, I couldn’t just show you the vest on its own… you know by now that I need to style the whole outfit! ☺️ Denim-on-denim, a little neck scarf, and a pop of red. I love how it all came together, a little Parisian chic.
