“Development is one of the most polluting industries in the world.”

That is how Marcelo answers when people ask why he started La Ecovilla in Costa Rica.

It was never about what Costa Rica offered him. It was about finding somewhere that prioritized environmental sustainability. About finding land already impacted, ready to be regenerated instead of cleared. About joining a culture that celebrates caring for this earth.

Nunca se trató solo de lo que Costa Rica podía ofrecerle a él. Se trataba de encontrar un lugar que realmente priorizara la sostenibilidad ambiental. De encontrar tierra ya impactada, lista para regenerarse en lugar de ser destruida. De unirse a una cultura que valora y celebra el cuidado de esta tierra.
