HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVA BUN! Our perfect princess angel puff is EIGHT years old today! 😭 How wild is the pace of motherhood… the way it blurs past in a frenzy despite our every effort to grab hold of it, as though we *might* succeed in slowing it down. If only. 🤍 Ava Angel, you are happiness. You are perfection. Your dad and I are forever humbled that Heavenly Father trusted us to be your parents. How blessed are we? Words fall short. WE LOVE YOU BABY GIRL!! Every moment with you is a gift, & every birthday is a treasure. 🤍🎂🎉🙏🏻 PS- stay tuned for her bday party which we’re throwing next week! The theme is to die for! 🎉
Are teenagers being given cash instead of care? More than 120,000 teenagers with autism, ADHD and depression are claiming disability benefits at a cost to the taxpayer of more than £1bn a year, The Times Welfare Inquiry has found. Data obtained by the inquiry shows 127,600 teenagers aged 16 to 19 are claiming personal independence payments (Pip), a non-means tested benefit designed to cover the cost of a disability, for these conditions in the past year. The average payment is £169 a week, or £8,800 a year, but payments can be worth up to £194 a week, or £10,119 a year. Ministers are concerned the welfare bill is rising in part due to the NHS’s inability to keep pace with the mental health caseload, within a system that gives cash without any obligation for the state to provide — or the claimant to accept — the necessary support. 🔗 Tap the link in our bio to read more
