a month agoComing back to your first postsโฆ loving the progress youโve made. Makes my heart happy! โค๏ธ
3 months agoIโve started as well, I turned 50 and thatโs it. ๐๐ I canโt skate either and canโt wait to play hockey as well
6 months agoReally good work (: I'm 30 and just started formal skating lessons. Very thankful for my strong athletic background. You're doing great (:
6 months agoOMG! I am also a boxer (but only an amateur who decided 45 was time to stop competing) and just had my first ice skating lesson last night with the same experience...like why can't I stop?? Looking forward to following your journey with this. ๐
6 months agoNot judging just curious, if your Canadian how come you didn't learn to skate as a child? I thought that was like a right of passage lol
6 months ago"I found this pretty easy".....whooooo doggy what a journey you have just begun. There is so much not easy you are about to discover! Congrats
6 months agoPractice the snow plow stop first. If youโve ever skied itโs like that. Go slow and just let that slow you down. You really need a public skate to dodge 3,000 kids flying around out there lol
6 months agoI started to play hockey when I was 34. I have now been playing for 12 years Iโve skating out 12 yrs and 8 yrs playing net. The number one thing to remember is bend your knees the second thing is get a good pair of padded pants so you can fall and not hurt. This will help you learn how to fall without hurting yourself.
6 months agoI started playing hockey at 13 years old full-time. I regret that I didnโt stop at the age of 10, but it is absolutely the most amazing community youโll ever be involved in. I was lucky enough to play college hockey and even was able to sneak in for a couple of Jr. games in the 80s amazing game amazing game.
