when I first moved here to Austin I was on this throwback idea already. Like in basketball there’s reverence for those who laid the groundwork. I had the same thoughts about BMX. Playing Basketball we would sometimes call out the players names as we were replicating their style.
For me styles count.
In this photo I’m in the Chrome TA I got at the BBQ spot in El Paso. I have a black mag in back & white one in front. The back tire I had at the time was a yellow COMP II ! way before you were even a twinkle in Yo Daddy eye.
I got it from Cothorns lock & key right there where Wahoos used to be. Tom from empire working there helped me.
The move is a Xup with a bandanna, hair was on Panteen.
Across the street there was no High rise condo with Ann Richards living on high cotton. Actually there was a car dealership that had all these crazy cars. He had a boat-car & a Bug with crazy spoiler sticking out the back. Ninth was just 4 jumps with maybe a dozen dudes.
This picture was taken by Brian Allman, although he’s not on instagram I still want to appreciate his friendship from early on.
Today I was rearranging some things at my place and came across this.
It’s raining & then Sunny in Austin right now.
Hopefully you’re having a good weekend!!👊🏽🙏🏽🫔
Oh yeah also! This song! For the longest time I thought it was some monks chanting. I realize it’s a chant at the end of football matches where the crowd sings
“You’ll never walk alone!”
Hopefully that stays true with you
