Presented in Milan, it featured jewel-toned satin shirts, low-rise velvet trousers, and unapologetically sexy styling that transformed Gucci’s image and helped define the glamour of the ‘90s. Thirty years later, Gucci Fall/Winter 2025 revisited the house’s history with a collection blending references to Tom Ford’s sensual glamour and other eras of Gucci. The show was presented by the in-house design team following Sabato De Sarno’s departure, with a dramatic green runway and a live orchestra performing original music by Oscar-winning composer Justin Hurwitz. The biggest difference is what each show represented: 1995 helped revive Gucci, while 2025 looked back at its legacy. Ford’s collection became a turning point for the brand, while the 2025 show celebrated Gucci’s ability to draw inspiration from its own history.
