He: I’m tired, talk tomorrow.
She: I can’t breathe, I feel like something’s wrong.
He: It’s just in your head, calm down.
(He turned off his phone)
(Her last message was never read)
Next day
“Message from her mother”
Mother: We found her collapsed last night.
Your number was the last one she tried.
She didn’t make it.
He stared at the unread text…
Now he will never know what she felt,
because her words ended there.
