She said, “This is our neighborhood.”

East Austin responded. @kkmgjinxd_moneybag 🫡

After a viral video showed a homeowner across from Huston-Tillotson University berating senior Bri Nunn over legal public parking, people came out to support the students and turn the block into a peaceful community celebration.

They brought music, protest signs, tables and food. People grilled, played spades and gathered in the vacant space beside the home. One sign delivered the message perfectly: “You bought a house, not our history. East Austin is ours.”

The City of Austin has confirmed that parking is allowed along those blocks of East Ninth Street, except in restricted areas such as driveways, intersections and corner clearances.

Police were reportedly called several times, but neighbors told FOX 7 that the gatherings remained peaceful and respectful.

This is bigger than one parking dispute. Huston-Tillotson was founded in 1875 and has been part of this historically Black community for generations. Nobody gets to buy a $1.5 million home across from Austin’s only HBCU and suddenly decide that the students, professors and culture were not included with the neighborhood.

Sometimes protest looks like marching. Sometimes it looks like barbecue, music and spades.

My workouts usually revolve around weights, but on days like this, I prefer to slow down and stick to bodyweight movement 🤍

When PMS hits, I try to listen to my body and adjust to how I’m feeling. A gentler workout still gives me that little boost of energy, without pushing myself too much.

Save this for when you need a slower workout ✨

We’re blown away by the response to Saturdays’ party. ⚡️

We loved it and we think you did too! ❤️

Having all our friends and family all under one roof across three packed rooms was fantastic and pretty moving at times...

We’d like to thank all the DJs and live acts who all brought their A game.

Tracks were new, tracks were old and fresh Bugged Out memories have been made.

Let us know your highlights?
