MOON’s story:
Moon has been with us since October 2018. Larry had sent me her picture because he thought she looked funny. She was a year old and was part of a family in Ohio who had turned her over to animal control because they said their son was allergic to her. She had been given the name Moon, and it suits her well, so we never considered changing it.
Our older dog, Enzo, was getting very anxious when we would leave and we thought maybe he’d benefit from a buddy.
I used to coach CrossFit and coached the morning, came home, and immediately turned around to drive 4 hours to Medina, OH with a blanket and nothing else.
When I arrived at the shelter, she was very excited and constantly moving, which continued for the 4 hour return trip. The shelter told me it would be $42 to adopt her. The rest is history.
Moon will be 9 this August. She has a lot of your typical Shar-Pei traits - she’s stubborn and loyal to “her people.” She prefers men, and her favorite human ever is
@apeczynski.
