We’re taught to see these as separate chapters.

Slavery.
Jim Crow.
Lynching.
Civil Rights.

Different eras.
Different problems.

But what if they’re not separate at all?

What if it’s the same system…
just changing form over time?

That’s the part rarely explained.

Because once you see it as a continuum—
you stop asking “why is this still happening?”

And start asking
“why did we think it ever stopped?”
