Vitamin D, a solo exhibition by Makan Negahban, centers on the human body in motion. Figures appear working, racing, riding, swimming, and floating , actions rooted in physical presence and lived experience. The title suggests a kind of deficiency. Vitamin D, produced through exposure to sunlight, becomes a metaphor for what is increasingly absent in contemporary life.
Set against dark, nearly black grounds, the figures emerge from within rather than being illuminated, creating a sense of tension and concentration.
