Sometimes I look back at my life and wonder how I managed to get through everything I have and it’s because I was raised by the most amazing mother who I miss dearly 💖 I’ve experienced heartbreak, grief, rejection, loneliness and moments where I genuinely didn’t know how I was going to carry on. I’ve had to fight to become the woman I am today, and along the way I’ve lost people, been judged by strangers and had to learn how to pick myself back up when nobody else was there to do it for me. Being transgender has never been the hardest part of my life. Best believe I am not perfect. I’ve made mistakes, I’ve questioned myself and I’ve had days where I’ve wanted to give up. But I’m still here. Still growing, still learning, still loving and still trying to create a beautiful life for myself. If there’s one thing I hope people take away from hearing my story, it’s that there’s a real human being behind every screen. Before you judge someone, remember you have absolutely no idea what they’ve had to survive just to be standing where they are today. And to the younger version of me who never thought she’d make it this far … you done it 💖
