Happy Thursday!

QOTD: Do you have a favourite trope or sub genre of fantasy?

I think that I've come to the decision that high fantasy is definitely a favourite sub genre for me.

I'm all about a long journey/quest, the battle between good and evil, detailed world building (this is a must for me), magic systems and magical creatures.

Magician by Raymond E Feist is really delivering on this so far and I'm excited to keep annotating this one. It's in the running for a favourite book of mine and I feel I will pick up books 2&3 very soon afterwards.

Raymond definitely up there with the likes of Brandon Sanderson, George R. R Martin and Michael J Sullivan in terms of favourite authors.

I've definitely been on a high fantasy hype as I also read Crystal Shard last month which is a book from the Dungeons and Dragons universe. I was in such a reading slump in January and February so who knew all I needed was my favourite genre to get me back on track.
