Dear Lisa,

They say time is precious, so thank you for choosing to spend some of your precious time with me in London and for letting me be your tour guide. I’ll never forget all the beautiful memories and little moments we shared.

Words can’t describe how much it means to me that you agreed to do another walking video with me. It’s something I’ll always treasure.

There’s one thing I really want you to know. No matter what happens in your life, and no matter how challenging the road ahead may sometimes become, please know that there will always be people who genuinely love and support you. We will walk with you and stand behind you. You will always have our love and support.

I can only imagine how difficult it must be to live under such an intense spotlight. It brings so much attention and love, but inevitably, it can also bring negativity and criticism. So in moments of darkness, self-doubt or whenever life feels a little too heavy, please remember that you never walk alone. There are so many people who love you, believe in you and are walking alongside you, even from afar.

May your life always be filled with love, joy and reasons to smile. I’m incredibly proud of you, and I know so many people who love and support you feel the same way.

A soldier returned home after a 3 year mission and finally got to meet his 2 month old baby for the very first time. Months of separation led up to this one moment, walking through the door and holding his child for the first time instead of just seeing photos or hearing updates from thousands of miles away.

Reactions like this hit differently because of everything that led up to it, missed milestones, time zones apart, and a bond that had to be built entirely through distance until this exact moment. Sometimes the most powerful homecomings aren’t loud, they’re just quiet, overwhelming relief finally settling in.
