Do not work with KU CAPS. Clinical director Laurie Wesely pressured me into signing paperwork I didn’t agree with, pushed me out of therapy, and blocked me from seeing my regular provider. This completely disrupted my care and left me feeling discriminated against as a grad/international student and was redirected elsewhere at my expense. Report them to the Civil Rights Office or the Kansas State Board if you've been harmed too. Don’t let harmful practices go unchallenged. Ombuds, provost and SSCM won’t do anything for you. KU CAPS will call the police on you, land you in the TRC and the psych ward with thousands of dollars worth of medical debt. TRC case managers will enter your apartment without permission and invade your privacy KU doesn’t care about students, they only protect their staff. People leave no paper trail so that they can’t be held responsible when they truly are. The only way to prove your integrity would be to do a polygraph
