“Community centres should come back”
Tomorrow on Happy Place, @stephengraham1973 and Orly Klein talk about growing up with youth clubs, football, youth workers and the people who made them feel part of something 💛

A conversation about boys, belonging, role models and what young people need from their communities.
Tomorrow on Happy Place 🎧

I’m officially inviting you to join me as we explore Tanzania, region by region, discovering hidden gems, revisiting iconic places, meeting people and experiencing the diverse cultures that make our country so special.

And we’re starting with Hululu Waterfalls in Morogoro.

So, how do you get there? (Swipe➡️)

From Morogoro town, we took a one-hour bus ride to Mlali Village. From Mlali, we hopped on a bodaboda and made our way to Bunduki Campsite in Mgeta, where you pay the entrance and guide fees before heading to the waterfalls.

From Bunduki, the real adventure begins. You can either hike up the mountain or take a bodaboda part of the way. Eventually, you’ll leave the bike behind, cross a wooden bridge on foot and face roughly 300 stairs leading you higher into the mountains. The stairs can be kinda exhausting but trust me, the reward at the end is totally worth it.

Hululu is one of those places I already know I’ll return to. By the time I’m writing this, I’m back home and somehow, I’m already thinking about going back.

🔔Save this post and share with your travel buddy for your next trip to Morogoro.

Follow the journey as we make our way through this beautiful country. And stay close, Explorers… because I’m already thinking about where we’re going next. 🇹🇿❤️
