One year without my mom. It’s still too hard to believe that there is a world without her in it. Most days I wake up thinking just maybe it was all a nightmare and she is still here. Still here and we can go shopping together again. Still here and we can get coffee and listen to music together and share a bottle of wine.

I miss you harder on sunny days. On perfect days I know you would love.

All I am is because of you. You are not here but you will always be with me. How lucky I am to live every day in honor of you. How lucky I am to be you daughter.

I really really miss you mom. 🩷

She is showing up in our lives always. I was in Westside Theater tonight and remembered how just over a year ago, she marched down from her seat, walked up to me a said hi and hugged me. She hugged us all and still does in spirit. Love to you, dear Maddie.
