50 Cent suggested on the Flagrant Podcast with Andrew Schulz that Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium shows helped repair his image after the allegations:

“You got to figure out how to fix that sh*t, Live Nation spent money into ROC Nation so they were like ‘we already gave you the money now we gotta fix this sh*t’”.

Jay-Z denied the allegations, and the lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice.

Delhi Police has released a video showing CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke being offered assistance to contact his family and travel home after he was informed of his grandmother’s death. The video was released after Dipke alleged that police had denied him access to his phone and prevented him from speaking to his parents during his detention.

According to the police’s version, officers informed Dipke about his grandmother’s death and offered to help him contact his family and make arrangements to return home. The video appears intended to counter allegations that he was not allowed to communicate with his relatives.

Dipke, however, has disputed the police’s account. He alleged that he was not given his phone to retrieve his cousin’s contact number and was not allowed to speak to his lawyer. His allegations raised questions about how he was treated while in police custody following the detention of CJP members and supporters amid protests in Delhi.

Delhi Police Deputy Commissioner Neha Yadav said officers offered to arrange travel by flight, train or bus so Dipke could attend the last rites. The police also maintained that he was offered an opportunity to speak to his father but declined at that time.

Dipke later challenged the footage, asking why it did not show his requests to use his phone to retrieve his cousin’s number and speak to his lawyers. He also questioned why police had asked him to contact his father at around 3:30 am.

The dispute has now centred on competing accounts of the events in custody. While Delhi Police says it informed Dipke about his grandmother’s death and offered assistance, Dipke maintains that his requests for phone and legal access were denied. The released video and the allegations made in response have intensified the public dispute over his treatment during detention.
