Sunlit Cosmos, Fanged Flora, and the iPhone 18 Pro ✨ As far as the makeup… I LOVE this dirty, grungy, oil slick sunshine eye. I also love my lip combo here… I’ve been on a roll using this gloss and liner for the past week and I think putting a touch of @dieverunecosmetics Fanged Flora highlighter on top was a great idea, if I do say so myself myself! Now… the iPhone. The majority of my photos on this platform are iPhone photos. I’ve been playing with the 18 Pro for the last week and coming from the iPhone 15 … it’s a whole new beast. There are suddenly physical aperture and shutter speed settings to manage, the onboard post-processing is entirely different, and it is so much more sensitive to lighting changes. The changes to light sensitivity and post processing are very evident in these photos. I can definitely say the 18 pro is way better at capturing sparkle and shine. I find myself doing way less lighting adjustments in Lightroom before posting. I’ve been shocked at some of the raw photos. There are also entirely new color profile settings that I’m just getting used to. Thankfully, you can now edit the profiles after the fact, but still it’s a lot. Some of the profiles want to do a shit ton of skin smoothing. Since the camera itself is more sensitive, there’s a tendency for skin to look a lot more ratchet (who wants their pores to have 50x the contrast and depth 🤣?). Some of the profiles/post processing tries to compensate for that. I think the skin smoothing went a little overboard on these photos. I have since figured out how to adjust for that, but I also kinda decided that I was into it, artistically, for this look. The eye look is somewhat radioactive, so why not the skin? ☢️ I’m probably spending way too much time over analyzing a pile of selfies, but my friends know that I like to keep it real in these streets.
