5 months agoFirst congrats on the marathon brother 💪🏾, Thank you for this video. I have my first marathon and was having this same issue in choosing I think I will skip the AF3 for the full use it for shorter races and opt for the comfort because my form will break down late.
5 months agoMy podiatrist said i need a shoe with alot of rocker to aid my recovery. Which of these would you recommend?
5 months agoOh man I’m on the same boat too I’m about to do my half marathon in 2 weeks and idk if I want to get carbon plated/racing shoes or just tuff it out with my evo SLs. I love the evos😅
5 months agoThe Alphafly's have a loud and clunky sound when u run with them. I promise u would hear someone running in alphafly's before you see them in any race. 😂
5 months agoShouldve compared it to the adios pro 4 those have carbon rods unlike the evo sl
5 months agoTechnology wise, my education on running tells me the Alpha’s BUTTT every coach & seasoned runner will tell you NOTHING NEW on race day. I say stick with the Evo’s & start training in the Nike’s after the race. Good luck & let us know how you did. Run strong, fam!
5 months agoI love the evo sl's... that's why I use the Adios pro 4s for race efforts 👌
5 months agoI would do the Alpha Flys but since you said “you don’t know” on two things then go with what you know. This way you have less worries.🔥
5 months agoI ran my first marathon in 2024 in AF3 and it caused me a lot of trouble when my foot got tired. If you're not a forefoot runner (I'm a mid but when I get tired I switch to heel) it can cause you problems. I'm currently running in Rocket X3 which is much better for non elite marathon runners because the heel is usable for longer distances (but its not sexy fast as AF3), and my personal advice is to go with EVO SL. I use them for 90% of my training and the shoe is fucking perfect!
5 months agoIf you’re not trying to beat a specific time, leave the carbon plate alone. Always go for comfort. That’s what got me through my marathon
