THE AFRODITIES

Hello and presenting to you the official page for the first Afro Dance crew of kcity, 𝒯𝐻𝐸 𝒜𝐹𝑅𝒪𝒟𝐼𝒯𝐼𝐸𝒮 𝒞𝑅𝐸𝒲 !! 🌍💃

While this crew came together on one of my (@ig._rahee) whims and to deliver one single performance somehow we stuck by each other ever since. The most common aspect that held us together was our love and enthusiasm to show and represent the rich culture of Afro dance and the African community to the crowd of Kolkata.

The crew name ‘Afrodities’ is a brainchild of @rupkathaism2, it is derived from the name ‘Aphrodite’ who is an ancient Greek goddess associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation, mostly what Afrodities stand for. Growing the team would be a difficult job if this woman did not support this venture through it all. She’s a very important part of this family.

And ofcourse it has been a very heart warming experience to be able to perform and spread this vision and love through dance alongside such beautiful beautiful women
@rupkathaism2 @sreexaa @ruth__btw @nikkkkk_c @bhumikaa07_ @trni.ta @sush.ka.tron @beedz___ @bewomnal_aein @_s.h.a.r.r.y._ 💚🌶️

Hoping that we bloom big enough some day for these women to be able to say that it was not a waste of time being by my side. 🥹

Thank you to all our people in kolkata who love us support us and are seen cheering for us consistently! Y’all are the best. Keep loving us and we will keep loving you.🤪✨
