18 april 2026 Record Store Day bij Sounds.

Legitimately honoured to have been asked by the majestic and outstandingly brilliant @officialannielennox to present her Artist, Songwriter and Icon award at the SONG WRITERS OF NORTH AMERICA AWARDS last night @wearesona_ . It was a true pleasure and extremely moving to witness this legendary beast in action. She remains , despite her enormous talents and accomplishments, a humble, generous and wildly caring Aberdonian. Thanks to my darlings @shmeggsandbaconn @cdicelove13 and @dianapaukstyte for turning me OUT.

Published in France in 1898, this cartoon shows Britain, Germany, Russia, France, and Japan dividing China like a cake while a Chinese official protests. By the late 19th century, China's Qing dynasty had been weakened by military defeats and unequal treaties. Foreign powers competed for ports, trade privileges, and spheres of influence. Although China was never fully colonized, much of its economy and territory came under foreign influence. This period became part of what China calls the Century of Humiliation. Fast-forward to 2026, and China's economy is now larger than those of all five countries combined.
