Rule no 1 Please take ACCLIMATIZATION seriously 🙏🏻 Ladakh is no joke.. I have seen perfectly fit people suffer and how.. Proper precautions = Great memories 🙌 Carrying or renting an oxygen backup in Ladakh is a useful safety precaution for remote high-altitude travel, but proper acclimatization remains your primary defense against altitude sickness. Your daily supplements and Diamox, A prescribed medication (plz consult your physician for dosage modification) It Helps prevent and reduce symptoms of acute mountain sickness by helping the body adjust to high altitudes. Proper layering is essential to handle Ladakh’s extreme temperature swings between sunny days and freezing nights. Carrying a pulse oximeter and a digital thermometer is mandatory and potentially life-saving when traveling to Ladakh. Because Ladakh sits at extreme high altitude with Leh at roughly 11,500 feet.. the atmospheric pressure drops. This drop severely decreases blood oxygen saturation levels (SpO₂), placing travelers at risk for Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and hypothermia.. Toilet hygiene and cleanliness is a must.. Many long highway stretches, mountain passes, and roadside stops have no restrooms or basic facilities. make sure you carry basic essentials like Pocket tissues, hand sanitisers, toilet seat sanitiser, toilet seat covers for road travel in Ladakh.. The high-altitude desert air is very dry, which quickly causes throat irritation and a tickling cough. You can easily buy standard throat-soothing lozenges or herbal options like kanthil or laung at local pharmacies and general stores. Laung and Kanthi really helped me a lot.. Category 4 sunglasses are the gold standard for high-altitude environments, blocking 92–97% of visible light to prevent from intense UV rays..Solar radiation increases by roughly 10% for every 1,000 meters of elevation hence it can be very damaging, it also protects from snow blindness and severe eye strain. Neck gaiter Thanks to @ashukla09 for introducing me to NECK GAITER. It will help block the fine dust entering your nose and mouth at High-altitude trails and road travels.. loose dirt and strong winds make your throat extremely dry .. mak
it’s not my fault this woman is a literal walking meme.
