My very first bachata experience happened this weekend, and I’m still absolutely blown away. I went in overthinking everything, criticizing myself, worrying that nothing would feel “right” because I’m usually so meticulous and serious about my main dance style.
But the moment the workshops started, I was completely absorbed. And the party… magical.

Huge thanks to the organizers @latinclubfrankfurt and the incredible teachers @paulinayjuli.bachata and @luki_cesanera for creating such an inspiring atmosphere. And of course, to all my partners, dancing with each of you was a gift. One of the most beautiful things about bachata is that you don’t get attached to one partner; you learn to adapt, connect, and flow with everyone. You don't need to be perfect, keep clean lines, compete, obey strict rules. But you breathe more. Ballroom partnership is a system: roles, structure, responsibility. Bachata partnership is like a conversation: listening, adapting, responding. As a ballroom dancer, you go through pressure and perfectionism, dancing Bachata i saw a friendly attitude and openness.

Technically, I’m sure I have a lot to work on, but honestly? I was just enjoying every second.
