I didn’t get my 🍒 done to hide them, and I’m certainly not offended by Shane’s joke 😂 I chose to enhance my appearance because I enjoy looking and feeling sexy. I love fashion, I love embracing my femininity, and I believe what we wear to the gym can absolutely be an extension of that self-expression. Do I believe wearing fitted clothing makes a woman look like a “whore”? Absolutely not. That’s where I disagree with Shane. However, I can recognize the humor and context of a comedian’s joke without feeling personally attacked by it. Confidence doesn’t require universal approval, and disagreement doesn’t have to become outrage.
