Science says the more delusional you are about your future, the more likely you are to create it.

The most effective delusional optimists zoom out. They look beyond what’s true today and picture what could be true tomorrow. It’s called construal level theory: looking past your current circumstances makes your brain think bigger.

Less “how could that happen?”
More “that will absolutely be me.”

We consistently underestimate how different our lives can become. So choose the destination before your current circumstances get to negotiate you down. Then do the work to make it happen.

Be delusional about the destination. You’ll figure out the directions.

But delusional optimism isn’t a decision you make once. The realistic voice speaks every morning, and whichever one you repeat more is the one your mind builds toward.

There’s a one minute window right after you wake, before your eyes open, when your brain is still in theta and takes what it hears as instruction rather than opinion.

Comment ALARM and I’ll send you what I use.

Which do you prefer?
