Having a bit of fun with Claude whilst injured...visualising amazing athletes based on @strava stats ๐ŸŒ!!

This visual shows 4 x athletes' all-time elevation gains*.

Each line on this chart marks how high above sea level one athlete's cumulative elevation gain would reach - if you stacked every metre they've ever climbed, straight up into the sky. ๐Ÿ”

The numbers aren't distances run, they're total metres of vertical gain - every hill, every mountain, every climb - added together and placed against Earth's atmosphere to show just how far that effort would actually take you off the ground! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

The entire troposphere = where all weather happens and where we breathe - is only the thin sliver at the very bottom (0โ€“12 km). ๐ŸŒฆ

The stratosphere (12โ€“50 km where the ozone layer lives) is also a thin band.

The Kรกrmรกn line at 100 km = the internationally recognised boundary of outer space. ๐Ÿš€

The second visualisation is how far Lucy Bartholomew's total elevation gain is at in relation to Earth and the Moon, not quite there, but on her way :p ๐ŸŒ›

*For anyone who doesn't know...Jim doesn't post much on Strava, so take his stats with a grain of salt.
