Wischiwaschi
Wäschewaschen
wischiwaschiwumm
Oben waschen
unten waschen
rundherum.
Hemden waschen, Hosen waschen,
Tischtuch mit den Rosen waschen,
wischiwaschi
Wäschewaschen
wischiwaschi wumm.
Und die vielen Hosentaschen
drehn wir um.
Wischiwaschi
Wäschewaschen
wischiwaschi
Wäschewaschen
Wäschewaschen
wischiwaschi
wumm.

Friedl Hofbauer - born 1924 in Vienna - is the most important authoress of children’s poems , who created rhymes for very small children, and poetry with a lot of atmosphere for older ones. This poem stuck with me since the school days.
