Across India, we welcome the Goddess as our Divine Mother during Navratri.

But in Bengal, she comes home as a beloved daughter, Uma.

Instead of fasting, the region celebrates her return with new clothes, family feasts, and pure joy.

Rooted in warrior traditions, this festival reminds us that devotion isn’t always about strict rules sometimes, it is just the joy of welcoming your child home.
