PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) membatalkan rencana perubahan nama sejumlah kereta dalam Grafik Perjalanan Kereta Api (Gapeka) 2026. Keputusan tersebut diambil setelah KAI menerima berbagai masukan dari pelanggan, komunitas perkeretaapian, hingga media.⁠ ⁠ Sebelumnya, KAI berencana melebur sejumlah nama Kereta Api Jarak Jauh (KAJJ). Perubahan ini sempat terlihat pada pemesanan tiket di aplikasi Access by KAI untuk keberangkatan 1 Desember 2026.⁠ ⁠ Seperti KA Sembrani dan KA Argo Anjasmoro relasi Gambir–Surabaya Pasar Turi sempat berubah nama menjadi KA Anggrek. Sementara KA Gumarang dan KA Kertajaya dilebur menjadi nama KA Dharmawangsa.⁠ ⁠ VP Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba pun merespons soal rencana perubahan nama tersebut. Anne mengatakan, perubahan nama kereta sebelumnya dilakukan untuk menyederhanakan penamaan layanan.⁠ ⁠ “Jadi, sebenarnya tidak diubah tetapi ada beberapa kereta yang memang digabungkan untuk simplify, di mana sebenarnya ini kita melihat ada penambahan-penambahan kereta supaya kita tidak menambah nama ketika kita menambah kereta,” terang Anne saat konferensi pers di Menteng, Jakarta Pusat, Selasa (3/11).⁠ ⁠ Namun, KAI akhirnya memutuskan mempertahankan nama kereta yang sudah dikenal masyarakat setelah mempertimbangkan berbagai masukan.⁠ ⁠ “Tidak ada niat untuk pengurangan pelayanan.
