🖼️ Research, interpretation, and discovery are at the core of the Corcoran’s Art History program. With Washington, D.C.’s museums and galleries as an extension of the classroom, students develop the skills to analyze artworks through visual, historical, and theoretical lenses.
For NEXT Festival 2026, Art History students share work that reflects the rigor, curiosity, and care at the heart of their practice. From original research to exhibitions and written scholarship, their projects highlight the many ways art history helps us interpret objects, ideas, and the world around us.
