✈️This past weekend, Space City Aeronautics had the opportunity to represent the University of Houston at the 2026 AIAA Design / Build / Fly Competition. The team passed tech inspection and successfully completed Mission 1 and the Ground Mission on first attempt, for the first time in the team’s history! Our plane, MV-1, completed three flying laps and landed without any damage.
The team has put in a massive amount of effort over the past year to make this happen, and would like to thank all members, mentors, Alumni, and sponsors for their support. We couldn’t have done it without you! We’re looking forward to even bigger accomplishments next year!

So proud!! I was on the team during covid but it’s great to see the team has made such great progress
