@qb.marcus_ is one of the most trusted voices in Georgia high school football, and for good reason. 🎙️📝🎥🎤
We caught up with QB Marcus, aka Marcus Shefter, at the 2026 Born to Compete Award Gala red carpet to talk about how he built his name in the high school sports world through real relationships, trust, and consistency.🙏🏾
From his days playing quarterback at Banneker High School to becoming one of Georgia’s premier sources for high school football news, Marcus has carved out his own lane and earned respect across the state.🫡
We also talked football. Marcus shared his thoughts on the upcoming season, including why he believes North Cobb could make real noise with @qben_6 stepping in at quarterback and how he sees @derrickbakerqb1 as a athlete who is building a brand well in the media space!
And it doesn’t stop there. As coach of the @borntocompete7v7 team, Marcus helped lead the program to a national championship in its very first year, taking down powerhouse teams like Hustle and C1N along the way.
More than anything, this conversation was a reminder that in today’s world, talent is only part of the equation. Professionalism, public speaking, and how you carry yourself online matter too.🎤🎙️🙏🏾
That’s what Sports Told By Youth is all about. Helping young athletes not just play the part, but speak the part too.

What QB Marcus has built in Georgia high school football is bigger than content. It’s trust, credibility, and respect. Young athletes, pay attention: how you carry yourself matters.🎥📝🙏🏾💪🏾
