DP World Tour veteran Joost Luiten has absolutely unloaded on the thought of LIV players returning to the tour in 2027. Speaking to Ben Parsons of Today’s Golfer, Joost said:

“They should make it harder for guys to come back. Four years ago they didn’t give a shit about the DP World Tour. They made a decision to go after the money. And now all of a sudden, the money is gone and they want to come back and act like nothing happened. I don’t think that’s right.”

“There should be a rule that if you gave up your membership you lose all your exemption rights as well. Then you have to stay a member if you want to ever come back to this tour. A lot of the guys gave up their membership and now they come back like nothing happened and then they become a member again and they get all the rights that they had before they left.

“If they think that they are that good then show it at Q School and beat the guys. That’s how every other guy that wants to play on this tour has to go.”

A significant number of LIV players without status on the DP World Tour are also reported by Today’s Golfer as being in negotiations to earn a large number of sponsor invites in 2027 if they leave LIV Golf. Joost went on to give his opinion on that too:

“Why give them invites? If I apply for an invite if I’m not in a tournament, I’m not going to get it because it’s all going to the LIV guys. There’s only a certain amount of invites.

“Invites should be for young talent coming through and not guys that took the piss against this tour and now they want to come back and they get invites. I’m not a big fan of that.”

Joost has never been one to mince his words and he certainly didn’t on this subject either. Regardless of what Joost or the other DP World Tour members think, there will be a large contingent of ex LIV players on the tour in 2027 and it will definitely increase the strength of fields and make the tour more compelling as a competitive product.

The Rise of Gen Z Journalism in an Era of Biased Mainstream Media. 🎤✊

At a time when mainstream media is increasingly criticised for its political bias and selective coverage, a new generation of journalists is stepping forward to bring people's voices, ground realities, and uncomfortable questions into the spotlight.

Covering the Delhi protests is a reminder of what journalism is meant to do: go beyond studio debates, step onto the ground, listen to people, document events, and ask questions that deserve answers.

When public issues demand attention, journalism must not become limited to convenient narratives or political interests. It must give space to people's concerns, question those in power, and ensure that important voices are not lost in the noise.

This is where Gen Z journalism brings a fresh perspective. A generation that values transparency, accountability, and independent thinking is showing renewed interest in reporting what happens on the ground rather than relying solely on narratives shaped elsewhere.

In a democracy, the role of a journalist is not to please the powerful but to inform the public. A free press must have the courage to question every institution, scrutinise every claim, and report facts even when the questions are uncomfortable.

The future of journalism depends on reporters who understand that a microphone is not merely a tool for asking questions — it is a responsibility to the people.

Because when mainstream media faces questions over bias, independent ground reporting matters more than ever.

Gen Z is not just the future of journalism. It is part of the ongoing conversation about press freedom, democratic accountability, and the power of asking difficult questions.

Question power. Report the ground reality. Keep democracy informed.
