One night when we were discussing metaphysics, the body and spirit. He questioned the finality of cremation and the pompousness of burial and told me that when he died to "just dump his body on a beach somewhere". I laughed out loud at the absurdity of that statement and he smiled and said, "thanks for laughing at my joke nobody else thought that one was funny". I did think it was funny but in my mind I pictured him as an old man upon death resting in the sand. He will grow old with us living on in our hearts but it would be better to see his body make the journey too. You will be missed Chase, thank you for empowering me with your spirit.
