It’s an illusion of choice. All roads lead home.

Your screen isn’t struggling to load these images. The objects really look like that. French designer Jonas Hejduk brings the appearance of low-resolution graphics into the physical world through crash.jpeg. Blurry woven rugs and an upholstered bench disguised as a poorly rendered tree trunk turn familiar objects into something your eyes keep trying to bring into focus. The bench’s bark-like surface is printed fabric, combining traditional upholstery with the visual language of digital textures. Started in 2021, the project follows an imaginary scenario: a meteorite hits Earth and mysteriously lowers the resolution of everything around it. Instead of making objects sharper and more detailed, Hejduk deliberately removes visual information, creating a world that seems permanently stuck halfway through loading. Behind the humor is a question about our appetite for ever-clearer digital imagery. Images may feel weightless, but storing and sharing them depends on physical infrastructure and energy. Hejduk uses this fictional, blurry world to explore our relationship with technology, consumption, and the idea that higher definition always means progress. all the looks for the asia/australia tour so far @zaralarsson 🤭 which one is your fav????
It’s safe to say I love a C-Shape Autavia. And when Stefano popped round recently he had a very lovely 11630 GMT. We mentioned it in this weeks podcast episode, and yes, it happens to look very lovely with my 3 autvaias, the viceroy, orange boy, and KAF…. 👀 I managed to resist its charms for now, and with its beautifully faded bezel (Darren don’t be so miserable) and those waxy gloss red hands, this will be available from @saltvintagewatches very soon. The Heuer obsession continues 😍 ⌚️ Heuer 11630V Autavia ‘Viceroy’ ⌚️ Heuer 11630MH Autavia ‘Orange Boy’ ⌚️ Heuer 73663 Autavia ‘KAF’ ⌚️ Heuer 11630 GMT Autavia ——————————————————
