Finding the Star-eyed Tree Frog in Munnar isn’t that challenging these days, as we’ve explored every nook and corner of its landscape.
But spotting juveniles and subadults of the same species is a whole different story. They are incredibly rare sightings, mainly because they blend perfectly with the lush green foliage around them. Their small size and bright green coloration make them almost invisible to the eye.
Adults, on the other hand, are larger and more brownish in color, which makes them a little easier to spot during our herping trails.
Sometimes, the smallest frogs hide the biggest surprises.
