Before an argument spirals, walk away. A moment of patience can prevent a lifetime of regret. Choose peace — it's always worth it.

🥋 SHODAN. 🖤

My heart is full…

This journey has taken me through ACL surgery, pregnancy, a C-section, becoming a mom, rebuilding my body, and finding my way back to competition. There were plenty of reasons to stop.

But I kept showing up.

@judonick_jkc thank you for believing in me, pushing me, and always demanding more from me. I’m so proud to be your student and represent Cranford.

To my @cranford_jkc family: thank you for the rounds, the lessons, the laughs, and for beating the absolute shit out of me with love. 😂 I wouldn’t want to earn this anywhere else.

And my @rollingbearbjj students ❤️🐻: you ALWAYS pull up for me. You come to my tournaments, scream from the sidelines, celebrate my wins, and support me through the losses. You think you’re showing up for your coach, but you have no idea how much you motivate me to keep showing up too.

This belt doesn’t represent perfection. It represents showing the fuck up anyway.

Through surgery. Motherhood. Losses. Exhaustion. Doubt. Starting over.

I earned this belt, but I sure as hell didn’t earn it alone.

Shodan
Just getting started.
