As I conclude my visit to the Republic of Korea, I look back on a memorable journey filled with valuable insights and experiences.

Seoul is a city moving rapidly towards the future without losing its identity or its connection to its history and culture. This is something it shares with Dubai.

It is also what connects our two cultures: a firm belief that progress does not mean moving away from our roots, and that technology is most valuable when it serves people.

My visit to Korea has been a valuable reminder that the cities best prepared for the future are those that remain connected to their roots while continuing to shape the future ahead.

NYC Marathon #3!!! It wasn’t a PR for me. Not even close. It wasn’t my fastest NYC Marathon or a PR in anything. Except… I spent the morning with three of my closest friends with the most EPIC VIP start experience. I saw so many friends and family out on the course. (Spectators and runners!) So many strangers cheered my name like I was a celebrity and gave me the biggest energy boost. My husband saved me with an emergency apple juice at the perfect moment. Other than a few rough miles in the middle, I think I smiled straight for 20+ miles. Got to test out the coolest connected Avelo sneakers and got instant data on my run the moment I crossed the finish. Got a huge amount of mom and dad hugs and kisses at the finish. Felt so proud of all my @nyrr colleagues and fellow board members for all the hard work that goes into the greatest day So, I’m going to say that I had a PR in having an incredible marathon experience. And sometimes that is worth way more than any time goal. Wow I love this race. Wow I love this city.

#FlashbackFriday 💚 It’s early morning on Tuesday 20 October 2026 and in the heart of Jakarta, @greenpeaceid activists scale the iconic statue at Bundaran HI to stage a peaceful protest, demanding urgent climate action and lower cost of living. Two giant banners unfurl bearing messages in Bahasa Indonesia: “Take Action on the Climate Crisis, Bring Down the Cost of Living” and “Disasters are Getting Worse, the People are Struggling, What is the Government Doing?”. In Indonesia, millions of people are facing the worsening impacts of climate disasters such as flash floods, El Niño-charged drought, and forest and land fires that have triggered prolonged transboundary haze. It’s a crisis that requires governments and companies to accelerate a just global energy transition. As the climate crisis intensifies and the everyday cost of living supercharged by fossilflation continues to rise – along with outrage at perceived ineptitude or corruption and inaction of authorities – people are calling for change. Courage and hope are contagious. This generation resists and we’re just starting to see its power ✊
