I allways fit somewhat larger tires on my car good for mpg and tire wear. Original tire size is 245/40 18”, fitted are 245/40 19” rims plus tires so the odometer shows a 3.7% higher speed, which is exactly on par with the inbuilt TomTom.

Because car speedometer are based on wheel speed, which means they have to be calibrated perfectly to be right,

Depends on the car my work 2017 Dacia dokker shows more than the actual speed while my 2003 vw passat is accurate

Right: some cars are dead accurate. I had a few dead accurate. Bikes can be a bit out, fitting a speedo healer solves those.Car tyres options will change speedo accuracy. Ie if 195 60 15 2 mph fast at 70. 215 45 17 dead accurate.

Yeah and the speed camera's don't capture unless your 135km in my country cause its a safety as well i tried that
