Happy Birthday to my dad, Jason Zeda, may his new year be filled with adventure. Two years ago this week we embarked on a hiking roadtrip through Utah’s National parks. 🌲 🌿🥾

I didn’t post the trip as I was so enjoying being present in nature together. I’m grateful for all of our travels. Thanks dad & @sheilasmallworld for making it a priority to create memories as a family.

A woman convicted in a fatal shooting that killed a grandmother and wounded two other people, including an 11-year-old child, has been sentenced to decades behind bars following a dispute that reportedly began at a youth basketball game. Cassandra McRae received a 150-year prison sentence, with 140 years to be served and the remaining 10 years suspended. According to the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, she must serve the first 25 years without the possibility of parole. McRae was found guilty of second-degree murder, four counts of conspiracy to commit murder, four counts of attempted second-degree murder, five firearm-related offenses and reckless endangerment. The case stems from a shooting in January 2025 in the 5400 block of York Road in Baltimore. Prosecutors said the violence followed a confrontation at a children’s basketball game involving McRae and members of the family of Anntoinette Jennings. Investigators said Jennings was driving with four other people when gunfire struck her vehicle. Jennings died in the attack, and two occupants, including an 11-year-old child, sustained gunshot wounds. A 6-year-old child and another passenger escaped injury. According to prosecutors, surveillance footage showed McRae leaving the basketball game while speaking on the phone before entering a gray sedan. The vehicle subsequently followed Jennings’ car. At the shooting scene, McRae allegedly exited the sedan and approached the passenger side of Jennings’ vehicle while two men moved toward the driver’s side. Prosecutors said McRae identified the vehicle shortly before one of the men began shooting. Tavon Singleton, who was identified as one of the alleged participants and later charged, was acquitted. Authorities say another suspect remains at large.
