Fifteen SAS soldiers and intelligence officers have broken cover for the first time to tell their stories of how they came to kill members of the Irish Republican Army in some of the most controversial actions in decades of conflict in Northern Ireland.

Speaking on The Independent’s podcast SAS: The Shadow War, soldiers of the SAS and the men and women of the secretive 14 Intelligence Company go into extraordinary detail in what will become an historic public record.

STOP TOUCHING OTHER PEOPLE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT

We want skating to be a community that comes together to celebrate what we love doing most. Everyone deserves to skate without having their personal boundaries violated.

Deliberately touching another person without their consent—sexual or otherwise—has no place in our community.

Consent matters in every setting—both in-person and online. A gathering taking place outside of an organized skate or a private message is not an excuse for inappropriate behavior. Do not grab, grope, kiss, hug, restrain, slap, or otherwise put your hands on someone without their consent. Being friendly, flirting, dancing together, drinking together, or knowing someone personally does not automatically give you permission to touch them.

If you aren’t sure whether someone is comfortable with physical contact, ask. Respect the answer the first time. Someone should never have to repeatedly move away, push your hands off them, tell you to stop, or make their discomfort obvious before you respect their boundaries.

Differences in culture, social norms, skating ability, or alcohol consumption are never acceptable excuses for actions that make someone else uncomfortable. If someone tells you that your behavior made them uncomfortable, take it seriously. Don’t argue about your intentions, dismiss it as a joke, blame them for misunderstanding you, or make an excuse about being drunk. Your intention does not override someone else’s right to decide who touches their body.

We want people to feel safe and respected in this community. That requires all of us to respect one another’s boundaries.

Keep your hands to yourself unless you know the contact is welcome.

If you witness unwanted touching or are a victim of it, please report it to your local skate staff. We are all dedicated to ensuring a safe and welcome skating environment for everyone.

The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (aka Land Cruiser 250) has a new serious contender: the fourth generation of the Mitsubishi Pajero (aka Montero).

While the Toyota features a very boxy shape, the Mitsubishi looks less rough. In any case, they are both quite capable off-roaders.

What’s your choice?
