A sapling grown from the iconic Sycamore Gap tree in Northumberland has been planted at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Visitor Centre in Grassington.
The sapling was planted by Sam West (Siegfried Farnon) and Anna Madeley (Mrs Hall), stars of the hugely popular TV series, All Creatures Great and Small, which is filmed extensively in the Dales. Its location ensures everyone can watch the sapling grow and thrive in the heart of the National Park.

Don’t know why, but this planting touched my heart. It seems as though planting a tree is a symbol of hope for the future. When this sapling has become a mature tree, we may all be gone, but generations will enjoy its shade and beauty. Thank you. You have brought joy to this heart today.
