Brock Lesnar is the former NCAA wrestling champion who won the UFC heavyweight title in just his fourth professional fight.

After conquering amateur wrestling at the University of Minnesota and headlining WWE, the 6-foot-3 powerhouse entered mixed martial arts in 2007, bringing explosive takedowns and devastating ground-and-pound into the octagon. He stopped Randy Couture at UFC 91 in 2008 to claim heavyweight gold, then avenged his loss to Frank Mir on the record-selling UFC 100 card in 2009. Known for dominant size and relentless pressure, Lesnar survived Shane Carwin’s early onslaught to submit him in 2010, cementing one of combat sports’ most improbable championship runs.

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has received fresh summons from a Delhi court in a criminal defamation case linked to his 2018 video titled “BJP IT Cell Part 2”. The complaint was filed by Vikas Pandey, who alleged that the video contained defamatory claims about him.

The latest court action follows renewed efforts to serve Rathee with the summons while he is in India. The matter is scheduled to be heard next on October 17.

New York City's Central Park horse-drawn carriage industry is nearing its end after Mayor Zohran Mamdani and City Council Speaker Julie Menin reached a deal on legislation that aims to abolish the carriage rides.

Menin is expected to bring legislation to the council floor for a vote this month, a spokesperson told CNN.

The move comes after years of criticism from animal rights advocates who charge that the horses are overworked, get easily scared and live in inadequate stables with drivers flouting city regulations. Horse and carriage owners have denied the the claims, arguing the animals are well cared for and the stables are up to code.

The death of 18-year-old tourist Romanch Mahajan, who was killed after jumping from a runaway horse-drawn carriage in Central Park last summer, renewed calls to ban the century-old attraction. Mahajan is believed to be the first person to have died in a carriage accident since the rides were introduced more than 150 years ago, according to the industry's labor union and the Central Park Conservancy, which manages the park.
