Echo Square recently completed a weekend tank reline in Edinburgh, working on a roof-mounted sectional GRP cold water storage tank. The internal surfaces were showing signs of deterioration with heavy staining evident ⚠️

🔍 Before: The tank exhibited widespread staining and early-stage surface breakdown across the internal panels and joints.

🛠️ Preparation: The tank was drained and thoroughly dried before works began. Internal surfaces were manually prepared to achieve the optimal surface profile for adhesion. Excess mastic was carefully cut back from all joints to ensure they could fully dry, allowing for bonding during the tank relining process.

🔷 Base Coat: A base coat was applied to all internal surfaces forming a strong and protective tank lining layer.

🔷 Top Coat: The process was repeated with a top coat, creating a seamless, durable, and watertight finish designed for long-term performance.

✅ Once cured, the tank was spray disinfected, refilled, and safely returned to service.
