The French make it look easy. @aliandreeamakeup shows you how. Her Soft Parisien look is all about making the skin look great first, then adding just what it needs: a little warmth, a little definition, and a little color. The result is polished enough to feel put together, relaxed enough to wear every day, and luminous enough to make the whole thing feel very Parisian indeed. A full look, with a light hand. The cheat sheet: Phyto-Teint Primer in Glow Sisleÿa Le Teint n°2N Ivory Beige Phyto-Cernes Éclat n°1.5 Phyto-Blush Twist n°8 Nude Phyto-Touche Illusion d’Été Phyto-Sourcils Design n°1 Cappuccino Phyto-Eye Twist n°1 Topaze Mascara So Intense n°1 Black Phyto-Lèvres Perfect n°6 Chocolat Phyto-Lip Twist n°11 Litchi
I’ve been working on a new top pattern, and the first version was pretty good. But I just couldn’t leave it alone. I started tweaking and tweaking, and somewhere along the way became fixated on every possible adjustment I could make to achieve sleeve perfection. I tried simplifying it, because I think the best design solutions are often the simplest, but that wasn’t better. Then I went in the opposite direction, exploring more traditional and technical pattern cutting methods, before eventually circling back to almost where I started. Six samples to discover that the first version was nearly there all along. But I don’t think the other five were a waste of time. Sometimes you need to try all the options to understand why something works… and to know when to leave it alone.
What does getting unready look like for @haifawehbe? We spent a little time with your favorite Lebanese icon as she took off the glam after @guerlain ’s event. Video: @rabee_alsirawan Post production: @Redpepperfilms.uae
