I sure do miss our big old, red oak tree, it made sitting on the front porch in the mornings not so blinding… ☀️
“Each tree planted is a promise to future generations."
Trying to decide what to plant there, a fast growing, hardwood, no roots on top of the ground.
Thinking a white and pink dogwood would be beautiful there, it won’t get huge like an Oak, but something definitely needs to be there.
Maybe even a redbud, idk how many years ago we planted the one up top, but it’s beautiful and has seemed to grow pretty quickly.
Also really miss the big oak by the front porch, thankfully we have an awesome start that I’ve been babying for the last few years. 🌳
Only about 15 more years or so, and we’ll have our big oak tree back to shade the front porch.
