When Jason Voorhees himself has a suggestion for who should wear Freddy Krueger’s glove next …

I’ve known Kane Hodder for years, so being texted this was incredibly cool! A huge thank you to the legendary Kane for throwing his support behind #LeavyForKrueger! This has been a fun and wild ride.

Coming from someone who’s made such an incredible mark on horror history, this truly means a lot. What an honor!

And a special thank you to the one and only @felissarose123 for making sure I saw this! There’s actually an EXTREMELY funny extended version of this video that I’ll have to share one day … but for now, WOW! @kanehodder13

Freddy vs. Jason 2? Haha! But seriously, thanks, brother. Truly humbled.

Would you say hello to this single mom? 😉💕

Icons week on Strictly 🪩 Dream come true🥺 @raye

The Taurus Mountain Race has been cancelled. This is my very personal view, and I’m not judging anyone’s decisions but my own. I hope you never have to understand it.
.
It started after Checkpoint 2, somewhere above 3,000 metres. Rain all day at 3°C. Then hail. Then sleet, then snow. Gusts of 100–120 km/h shoved our bikes sideways, temperatures dropping toward zero. I was soaked to the bone, then hypothermic. My dry layers stayed in the bag. If I got stuck out there, they were my last line of defense. Then, completely drained, I crashed.
.
Samuele and I found shelter in a steel box. Little strength, no idea what tomorrow would hold. Mud. Landslides. 50 km that could take 2 hours or 12. At 2 a.m., after careful assessment, I messaged race HQ via satellite for advice and requested evacuation. For the protocal: I didn’t hit SOS, because I could still survive where I was.
.
At first light, rescue teams set out by land. Air rescue never got clearance. Off-road vehicles fought their way up. All four of us came down alive.
.
The hardest 24 hours of my life, and the closest I’ve ever come to not making it back. You can train for years and carry every piece of gear. When enough things go wrong at once, the mountain doesn’t care. Yes, I made mistakes too. That’s human when you’re cold, exhausted and on the edge. We’ve seen the best mountaineers of our generation die in far less complex situations. Experience is an advantage, not an insurance policy.
.
Few people know what it feels like to come that close and walk away. I don’t know yet what it will do to me. I love these adventures, but I’m not chasing the next, more extreme thing. Maybe the real skill is knowing when the mountain has said enough. And remembering: it’s just a bike ride.
.
We’re all disappointed. This wasn’t the TMR we prepared for with so much passion, time and money. I feel for all of us, whatever our perspective is. All I ask: keep the discussion respectful and constructive, and accept that every view may differ. Be grateful and go ride your bike. Because you still can.
.
To Nelson, the TMR team, and the rescue squads who came for us: thank you.
